Day 3 and I'm feeling sore. I was unable to do my work-out yesterday because the bully (aka Jillian Michaels) had tore my muscles to shreds on day 1.
I've been popping ibuprofen which hasn't actually done anything but serve as placebo effect, making me think I feel better just because I'm taking something. My muscles scream everytime I move -- and I don't even want to discuss trying to walk up or down stairs. Owww.
So I am hoping to start back up the work-out routine tomorrow, or at least be able to do cardio (running or elliptical) because my muscle fibers will likely still be screaming out in agony if I try to do any sort of toning/weight-lifting/body-weight-supporting.
On the positive side, I have really enjoyed the food she is having me eat.
Now, don't get me wrong. I used the term "enjoyed" loosely.
But I will stick with the verb and explain that my enjoyment is really four-fold.
Not only am I feeling better, but I have not really craved anything, I've been completely satisfied and only just start to get hungry when it's time to eat, and I actually don't hate the food she is having me cook.
Well, let me back up. Not ALL of it is bad.
I've been trying to look at the bright side of it. And last night's dish, garlic chicken (substituted for the salmon she recommended) with fennel and mashed cauliflower was actually something I will make even after my 30 days are up.
Good one, Jillian Michaels!
With that said, I am looking forward to being able to work out again. Not that I love working out, but I have got the food under control, so I'm ready to start shedding the inches (and pounds!)
